The perfect combination of sweet caramel, burnt malt and the bitterness of coffee beans!
An ancient legend says that the monks, who were based in an abbey in the south of Belgium, lived very well. But constant raids and robberies forced people to look for a new place for a quiet life. A certain part of the monks migrated to a place near the Meuse River, where in 1848 they began brewing beer of the highest quality.
The beer was named Bruler, which means "burn". Thus paying tribute to the memory of the terrible times of persecution.
